2-day Thai Yoga Workshop with Spiros Tarifas
Saturday November 11, 17:30-20:30
Sunday November 12, 11:00-14:00
Thai Yoga has its roots in Thailand.
It was developed by Indian yogis, focusing on the therapeutic approach of touching and locking in positions with the ultimate goal of deepening into them.
It allows us to explore the limits of our body in the given moment with safety• it is a gift we can offer both to ourselves and others.
It can be practiced by both Yoga practitioners and people who want to bring balance to their body after some sports activity (for example cycling, running, swimming, weight-lifting).
The techniques will be taught in such a way that they can be understood and memorized.
The workshop is suitable for everyone, regardless of physical condition.
The teaching method is based on the Thai teaching method .. interactivity and playfulness!
The 2-day workshop will be led by Spyros Tarifas.
BIO
Spiros was born in Toronto, Canada but grew up in Greece. He has been introduced to Yoga at 2005 by a teacher that taught the "inner cleansing" rather than asana practice. That experience was enough to led him in 2010 in Ashram of Sivananda in Vrindavan, India.
Continuing his journey he visited North Thailand where he has been taught the art of Thai Massage and since then he travels every year to Asia in order to meet and collaborate with various teachers but also to learn new yoga practices. Since 2011, he organizes trainings in Thai massage and since 2019, he teaches Yoga Teacher Trainings in Greece and around the world.
